Counters Offering Extended Hours

　　In order to make procedures at City Hall more convenient for its citizens, Tokushima City has established counters that operate outside of regular business hours for certain procedures, namely moving notifications (to, from, or within the city), issuance of copies of residence records or full and/or partial copies of family registers, and procedures associated with changing your address or updating the family register. We hope that these extended hours will be helpful to those of you who may find it difficult to come in on weekdays due to work or other obligations.
◎ Regarding widespread delivery of Family Register Record(JPN only)
(Note: Interpretation services are not available outside of the regular business hours.)

The 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month, from 8:30am to 12:00pm.

Due to an increase in individuals moving in and out of the city due to change in employment and enrollment in school, etc, the fourth Sunday of March and the first Sunday of April will be operating on especially extended hours.

On the day of your visit, please use the parking lot on the east side of City Hall (by the JR railway), and enter via the Main or East entrance.
Please note that parking permits do not allow you to park on the road along the east side of City Hall.

Please understand that there are procedures that cannot be handled on these days as all other counters are closed outside of regular business hours.

The tax certificates that can be issued during extended hours are as follows. However, in cases where direct confirmation with the department is required, they cannot be issued.

• Residence tax income/taxation certificates
• Personal tax payment certificates

Issuance of any other tax certificate, or requests made by a third party (those requesting certificates of someone who has passed away, those outside of a household who do not have a power of attorney, relatives who do not live together and do not have a power of attorney, lawyers, judicial scriveners, notaries public, or other law professionals, etc.) cannot be completed on these days.

We may not be able to handle or complete procedures in the case that we must receive confirmation from other municipal organizations, so please contact the relevant divisions ahead of time for more information on the services offered and the documents required for each procedure.
If you would like to contact the Counter for Mothers & Children ahead of time, please contact the relevant division on weekdays between 8:30am and 5:00pm.

Identity verification will be required of anyone who comes in to report a change of address (moving in, out, or within the city), update the family register (for marriage, cooperative divorce, adoption, etc.), or request any type of certificate.
Please present your driver's license, passport, residence card, My Number Card, or other acceptable piece of identification. If you do not provide any ID, you may not be able to complete the procedure.

When reporting a change of address or requesting a certificate via proxy, your proxy must submit a power of attorney written by you, as well as their own ID.
