Tokushima City Markets

This market takes place around the Shinmachi Boardwalk area on the last Sunday of every month. About 80 white parasol stalls line the area, with carefully selected vendors offering their finest goods. With so many specialty items available, visitors come from near and far-including professional chefs in search of top-quality ingredients. However, the most wonderful part of the Marche is the chance to meet the producers, talk with time and sample their products. This market is held on the 2nd Sunday of every month at the Shinmachi Riverside Park and is organized by local students. This market is the largest Sunday Market in Tokushima every week at the Tokushima Textile Wholesale Complex. From early morning to mid-afternoon, you can find some local produce, handmade crafts and street foods (such as cabbage pancakes, yakitori, and chirashi-zushi).
