Hyotanjima Riverboat Cruise

The beloved Hyotanjima Riverboat Cruise is named after the gourd-shaped river course around Hyotanjima Island (“Hyotan” means gourd in Japanese). The river course covers the Shinmachi and Suketo Rivers that encompass the Hyotanjima area, and offers a scenic overview of Tokushima City from the riverside.

For Regular Cruise Service
Adults: 600 yen (Junior high school students and older)
Children: 300 yen

For Night Cruise Service (operates daily)
Adults: 800 yen (Junior high school students and older)
Children: 400 yen

The boathouse in the Shinmachi Riverside Mizugiwai Park (etc.)

About 30min around the perimeter of the Hyotanjima area (please note that cruise durations vary by course).

In general, reservations are not necessary. However, in the case you will be coming in a group of over 12 people, please contact the Shinmachi River Preservation Committee ahead of time.

The cruise does not run on Jan. 1 of every year.

• Other than this day, the cruise will run every day except in the cases of bad weather, etc..

There is no parking lot designated for the Hyotanjima Cruise. You can find coin parking lots near the boarding area for the cruise.
