About National Health Insurance

National Health Insurance is a social healthcare system which covers a portion of participants’ medical expenses. NHI members pay an insurance fee so they can be prepared in the case of injury or illness. Anyone who meets the qualifications of the NHI system is required to apply for the system. If you present your insurance card at a hospital, you will only have to pay a portion of the total medical cost in order to receive treatment.
